Dr Shahzaib Anwar is an experienced highly skilled Gastroenterologist and Interventional Endoscopist.
Dr Anwar completed his basic physician training and Gastroenterology training at Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide, South Australia. He then did two dedicated years of Advanced Endoscopy Fellowships at the Alfred, Royal Melbourne Hospital and Western Health Melbourne.
Dr Anwar performs hundreds of Complex Advanced Endoscopy procedures every year including ERCP, Endoscopic Ultrasound and Endoscopic resection of large colonic and gastric polyps.
Conditions managed by him include but not limited Colon Cancer Screening, GORD, Coeliac disease, Barrett’s Oesophagus, Irritable bowel syndrome, Endoscopic removal of large polyps, Liver, and Pancreato-biliary disorders (e.g. Bile ducts stones, Cancers of bile duct and pancreas)
He is actively involved in the training of Gastroenterology registrars, medical students and has published widely in International Journals.
